The November 5 Presidential election was like the perfect storm that completely obliterated whatever little credibility and respectability the main stream media aka ‘legacy media’ had left after years of fakery to the American readers and viewers of news.
As Abraham Lincoln said, ‘You can fool all the people some of the time and some people all the time but you cannot fool all the people all the time’, the news outlet gang composed of ABC, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, The New York Times and Washington Post are now collectively facing a threat to their stability if not continued existence due to a massive flight of their followers and subscribers who suddenly woke up to the reality that they have been had.
If you think about it the ‘shock and awe’ is actually an exacerbation of the undeniable delusion inflicted upon the hapless people during the time they were glued to these heralders of news which were largely devoid of truth and mostly an unrelenting daily vilification and attack on Trump, the conservatives and anyone else who disagreed with their ideologies and positions on the issues of the day.
What is sad is that the beholden audience were made ignorant and oblivious to facts that were either deliberately withheld or distorted by these outlets in an effort to advance their senseless agenda. The sensible thing that the people should have done was to spend some time watching also the likes of FOX NEWS which presented the news in a ‘fair and balanced’ manner. If they did the situation would not have turned so dismal.
The good news however is that there is evidence that an ‘awakening’ or a ‘realignment’ has begun at some of these places. If so I wonder if other than the obvious need for economic survival and restoration for relevance in the information industry there is an innocent but honest effort to ‘Make America Transparent Again’. Let us hope so.
(Food for thought: "Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart". Acts 8:22 NIV)
