MY TAKE: ONCE MORE WITH FEELING OR PEACE TALKS, TAKE #2

After last week’s diplomatic faux pas in the Oval Office between Presidents Zelenskyy and Trump plus VP Vance it looks like we’ll soon see a resumption of the talks intended to finally seal a rare earth minerals deal between the US and Ukraine preparatory to working out a Cease-fire agreement between Ukraine and Russia.

Based on a public statement made today by Zelenskyy on social media, he regrets the first attempt last February 28 in the Oval Office got derailed (by a shouting match among the three leaders) and he is now ready to sign the Trump-negotiated deal.

Although peace may for a while seem elusive history has shown repeatedly that propelled by good intention and dogged determination it is never beyond reach. It is obvious to me that Trump is also determined to leave a "warless" legacy. Good for him and good for the world.
