MY TAKE: THE ISRAEL-HAMAS CEASE-FIRE DEAL IS A FLEETING FANCY THAT DOES NOT END THE WAR!

Forced by Trump’s threat of “hell” breaking out in the Middle East if the hostage situation in Gaza is not resolved before he takes his oath of office as President on January 20th, the temporary halt to the war is exactly just that -- temporary. Given the history there are ample grounds to anticipate the resumption of hostilities at anytime.

The reason is simple: although the Israeli military might eliminate all the Hamas elements in Gaza there are more of them situated in other places that will continue to pursue their sworn objective of eliminating all the Jews in Israel. In other words, the cease-fire arrangement is nothing more than a very fragile pause in the seemingly unending conflict. Oh it will end sometime, but it will not be brought about by any political-military machinations on the part of any or all the parties involved.

As I see it, such eventuality will be realized only through the lens of biblical prophesy. As observers we’ll do well by taking a serious look at what the “book” teaches about these things.
